Our Story


Pepper Tree Fine Foods offers a range of exotic ready-to-cook meals for you to simply take home, follow the quick-and-easy recipe steps and add your fresh ingredients based on our shopping list.

All of our authentic dishes have been hand crafted by Audra Vilkelis, former owner of Gourmet Cookies and Pies, who grew up around food in her parents vegan restaurants. For 17 years with her husband Trevor, Audra delivered quality, vegetarian food to the Western Australian market.

Audra now uses her skill to blend spices by hand and create exotic Pepper Tree Fine Foods ready-to-cook meals. She has crafted a range of traditional vegetarian dishes that you can take home and easily cook yourself in a matter of minutes.

The range includes:

Spiced Bombay Potatoes with sesame rice and pappadams

Moroccan Couscous with pumpkin and chick peas

Malaysian  Satay curry with lemongrass rice and pappadams

Pumpkin Dahl with coconut rice and pappadams

Indian Pakora – mildly spiced vegetable batter

Egyptian falafel – traditional falafel croquettes

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your products. I have just cooked the Malaysian satay and it was really nice and so easy to make especially for someone like me who has no idea about this type of cooking. Its an excellent idea and I will be looking forward to trying out the others.

I made the Pumpkin Dahl and served half of it as a dip with mini pappadums for my "bring something to the curry night" which went down a treat and the next night cooked the rice and had the remaining dahl for dinner. So, big success all  around - thank you.
